But as we age, we start to realize that life is going to end sooner or later. Even if we never experience death, our bodies break down and eventually will start to fail us.
As the older we get, the more likely it is that we will not be around to see our children grow into adults. We may even miss out on seeing old friends from school or former colleagues from work. Some people have a tendency to get caught up in the past and worry about what will happen to them when they can no longer pursue their own dreams.
I am grateful for all of the things that have happened in my life so far and am looking forward to all of the experiences, new and old, that I have yet to have. Even though everything must come to an end one day, I am still able to enjoy this life I am living today because I know that it will not last forever.
